‘Twas the night before finals,

And all through our school,

Not a student was partying or breaking a rule.

The library was filled to every single chair,

In hopes that their grades would turn out to be fair.

The students were lacking the sleep that they needed,

To make sure their projects were not uncompleted.

After living off ramen and three cups of caffeine,

Achieving an A was their only dream.

And what to their wandering eyes would appear?

But a party down the hall and a free case of beer.

They packed up their papers and decided to go out,

To see what the fun was all about.

The following morning when dawn decided to break,

They woke up with the worst kind of headache.

The class would go on and so would their test,

Praying that their partying would still allow them to do their best.

Option A is 500 and B is 630,

Why on a math test is number seven so wordy?

The students tried their best to succeed,

But after last night it would be a challenge indeed.

After the tests, students would pack up their things,

Awaiting all the wonderful events winter break would bring.

A’s on their finals will make their futures bright,

But for now, happy winter break to all and to all a good night.
