In Honor of Helton Day

Here’s to greatness. The Rockies have had a tough year. So the whole franchise deserves this day as does Todd Helton. It will, however, serve as a reminder of what was and what isn’t. The Rockies have a very long climb back to any place of respectability. So today it’s best to just savor the moment, when one bright shining star illuminated Coors Field with his brilliance. It might be sometime before we see the likes of a player as great and as noble as Todd Helton again in a Rockies uniform.
