Note: I was provided an Ultimate II running belt with an add-on hydration bottle in exchange for a review on my blog. No other compensation was received and all opinions stated are my own.
Alright, right off the starting mat here, let me say that I love Fitletc belts. I now own three of them (including this one sent to me for review) and they NEVER disappoint. I have worn them for as short of a distance as a 5k all the way through a marathon and I can’t see myself wearing anything else to carry my nutrition, water and other gear during a run.
That said, when I had the opportunity to review one of the Ultimate running belts from Fitletic, I was definitely thrilled. My previous go-to running belt has been the Hydration Belt which I have used through three marathons and numerous half marathons. The Ultimate belts can hold just about anything, and are easily customizable to your needs on a run. With that in mind, I chose the Ultimate II running belt and an add-on 8oz water bottle. My hydration belt is two 6oz bottles which hold a combined total of 12oz. I wanted to try out carrying simply one bottle on my runs with this running belt.
Having worn the new belt now on a number of training runs and even a local 10k, I can honestly say that it’s my new favorite go-to running belt. The one 8oz hydration bottle is more than enough for my runs since my training program has water support stops along our routes which allows me to easily refill the bottle. The main pouch on the Ultimate belt can hold quite a lot of fuel. I’ve been easily able to fit everything I need from gels, shot blocks, Bonk Breakers and more in the pouch. Inside that pouch there’s an interior pocket where I can store my ID, credit card, etc. There’s a small pocket that easily fits my car key or another gel. Not to mention loops on the belt that can hold up to 5 gels. The running belt has race toggle holders for your race bib. I know I love this feature because I prefer to put my bib on a belt rather than pin it on my shirt.
Bottom line is, the Ultimate running belts really are the ultimate running belts for runners. It will hold an amazing amount of nutrition and such and it never bounces! You can add on hydration bottles or a cell phone holder. I already had a cell phone holder, so I simply added it onto the Ultimate belt.
Fitletic has been around since 2008 providing high-quality products for it’s customers. They became the official running belt for runDisney and the product was endorsed by Jeff Galloway. They have gone on to partner with the 26.2 with DONNA as well as many other great charities and causes. Fitletic was known as iFitness up until mid-2013 when the company re-branded itself. The change was one that the company believes better captures their mission of
