Thankfully Espro Sports Cleaner stepped in and saved the day. They sent me the awesome package you see above. We have the full size bottle of sports cleaner, a travel bottle which we are keeping in the T-ball bag along with the stain wipes.
Our little guy fell in love with sliding into base and that red clay was not coming out. I washed his pants immediately after every single game and the picture you see above is after washing it. I tried every single stain treater on the market and nothing touched this red clay stain.
Nervously, I tried the Espro Sports Cleaner. Following the directions on the bottle, I sprayed the stain, then I allowed the stain cleaner to sit on the fabric for 5 minutes. Finally I popped it into the wash and put it through a normal cycle.
The stain was very set in and layered from all the games that my son had played over the summer. Like I said, I had washed it a million times and the stain did not budge. After washing, I pulled the baseball pants out and I was taken back by how much of this awful set in stain came out. Easily 95% of this caked on awful mess was taken out and I would bet that after another treatment, it would be completely gone.
