Concussions can be a huge health problems for pro athletes and amateurs. There are long term effects – including dementia and suicide. Dr. Paul Echlin – a primary care sports medicine specialist in Burlington – is working with the Halton School Board on The Hockey Concussion Education Project to educate kids on the signs and symptoms of concussions.
