In Zambia, the Copperbelt Energy Corp has received certification of its biodiesel from the Zambia Bureau of Standards demonstrating that the fuel meets domestic and international standards. The company sought approval as far back as January with inspections taking place in March, though the sign off from the agency only came last week. The company hopes that demonstrating a quality product will boost consumer confidence and help increase uptake of biodiesel for transportation. The certified fuel was for B100 rather than blends.
