MIRPURKHAS: Sindh Minister for social welfare Shamim Mumtaz on Wednesday said that her department has formed health welfare committees in different civil hospitals of the province to ensure better medical treatment to special persons. She was talking to media during her visit to different offices and institutes of social welfare department at Mirpurkhas. She said that her department would mark ‘child day’ soon. Deputy Director social welfare Sajjda Perveen briefed the minister that disability certificates have been issued to 1155 special people by the department and 25 to 30 persons are getting medical treatment. Later, she distributed cheques of Zakat among the 30 disabled children during her visit of Mazoorin Center RCPH on the occasion of Dewali – a religious day of Hindu community.
