March 4th was the “insurrection” that never came.
Based on fringe Internet chatter, leaders of the House of Representatives were convinced that pro-Trump protesters were going descend on the U.S. Capitol and overtake them — so much so that they cancelled Thursday’s session and fled to their home districts.
What a bunch of bull. Political theater at its absolute worst — and with no end in sight.
The Capitol complex is still surrounded with non-scalable, barbed-wire topped, 8-foot fences and remains protected by hundreds of National Guard members following the Jan. 6th riot. It would be doubtful that anyone would be able to breach what has now become an armed camp, even if they wanted to.
In a statement issued Wednesday, the Capitol Police, said it had “obtained intelligence that shows a possible plot to breach the Capitol by an identified militia group on Thursday, March 4.
The supposed “intelligence” was based on online chatter about an insane theory that former President Donald Trump would return to power because March 4th was historically a date for presidential inaugurations.
This failed hallucination was hyped more by the news media and House Leader Nancy Pelosi than any actual conversations occurring on social media among Trump supporters. Unlike Jan. 6th where there was an organized Trump rally, there was no organization backing the March 4th theory online or elsewhere — only some dead-end internet conspiracists, the actual number of which, remains unknown.
And that’s intentional. It’s all a warped game that Mrs. Pelosi, the left and the mainstream media are playing to undermine, disparage and attack 73 million Trump voters.
Since Jan. 6th, politicians on the left and the mainstream media have worked tirelessly to exaggerate what actually occurred (Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez claiming a near-death experience, while she wasn’t even in the Capitol building, The New York Times falsely claiming Capitol Police Officer Brian Sicknick was bludgeoned to death by a fire extinguisher).
They then brandished that threat onto all Trump supporters and urged Big Tech to monitor conservatives social media feeds, expand law enforcements’ access into their encrypted cellphone apps, and asked cable companies to drop right-wing television channels such as Fox News and Newsmax.
Now, they are literally inventing new threats to maintain their false narrative and to justify their continued crackdown on conservatives. Since March 4th didn’t pan out, the goalposts have been moved to March 20th, and then it will probably go to April 15th and so on and so on.
The Capitol Police have indicated they want some permanent fencing around the building and this week asked the Department of Defense to leave the thousands of National Guard troops at the Capitol for an additional two months.
This is Banana Republic stuff, folks. Fake or embellished intelligence gives grounds for the military occupation, which in turn justifies the narrative, a narrative they’ll use to cancel your rights and label you a domestic terrorist.
It’s more than just a political game — it’s undermining our Republic.
