Monkey Lad - An Alex Kidd inspiration on the Commodore Amiga is still in development

In 1987 Sega released the great side-scrolling platform game ' Alex Kidd ' for the Sega Master System console. Although it was first released in Japan in 1986 but internationally in 1987, it was one of the most well known games as it was also built into most Master System II's! For anyone that has played the rather enjoyable original, will be pleased to know that not only can you try the latest demo for the work in progress Alex Kidd inspiration for the Amiga called 'Monkey Lad' by Earok. But Saberman has also done a gameplay video viewable below.

Although we featured an older demo back in 2020, from what we know so far, is this is a demonstration of the engine's evolving and growing capabilities! Still from my personal experience of playing the latest demo that was released in June, is this is a very impressive game and I hope Monkey Lad will be turned into a full game at a much later date! So watch this space.......
